As a line editor, I offer suggestions and rewrites to improve unruly sentences that may interrupt your audience’s reading experience. I also correct grammatical and typographical errors whenever I see them, ensuring that your text remains clear, concise, and (most importantly) entertaining for the reader.

And you never have to worry about me judging you for making writing mistakes. It happens to everyone, even the most accomplished authors, and I want to do all I can to support you and the story you want to tell.

You can find a more in-depth list of my line editing responsibilities on my Editing Services page.

I firmly believe that the best way to learn how to write books is to read them, and some of my expertise comes from having read and examined dozens of books that were either traditionally or independently published. I read widely to better understand the many different writing styles that exist to approach your manuscript with an open mind.

The other half of my editing skills come from studying resources such as the Chicago Manual of Style and attending the webcasts offered by ACES: The Society of Editing. I’m always learning more to help your stories meet a professional standard.
